At Boomworks we know that project management is more than gantt charts and boring weekly meetings. Our project managers (PMs) are passionate about delivering the best solution for our clients and their customers within the timeframes and budget available.

Our planning starts with taking the brief where we develop a full understanding of our client’s goals and project constraints. The senior members of the project team then develop a realistic plan utilising the appropriate tasks and phases within the methodology.

This approach is then refined with our clients to confirm our understanding and ensure their stakeholder management needs will be met. The outcomes of this are then formally documented to an appropriate level of detail (dependant upon the scale of the project). This may include:

• Project plan (timeframe, resourcing & cost)
• Scope definition
• Project charter
• Meeting schedule
• Formal proposal letter & contract

As can be seen from our methodology, our PMs are involved, every step of the way throughout a project. They are active participants in workshops, undertake quality assurance on all deliverables and assist our clients in the presentation of deliverables and the management of feedback.

Boomworks uses the Projector time recording and project tracking system. This allows our PM’s to provide accurate and timely reporting on project progress throughout and avoid unexpected overruns or surprise expenses.

Above all our PM's are experienced, they pride themselves on ensuring adequate contingency and managing risk from the outset – expecting the unexpected. If it occurs they take a calm, mature and pragmatic approach to working with their clients to resolve issues and ensure that the goals of the project are not compromised.
