Redesigning a travel insurance site for success

Redesigning the card company's Singapore travel insurance sales pathway involved understanding ACE Insurance's policy details and associated business rules. The previous process was recognised as having a poor user experience with little explanation of what the policies included. Boomworks conducted user testing to understand the priorities of various groups of travellers to understand what they looked for when purchasing travel insurance and used these findings to drive changes, redesigning both the user experience and look and feel of the step-by-step process.

Since launch, the site has received a huge uplift in sales with a 1,500-2,000% daily increase in the number of policies purchased and the best 'quote to book' ratio compared with their other markets.
